The Workshop Session was recorded with the trio facing one another, playing six songs from beginning to end. Four come from Room Tone; “Side Street” and “Halfway Home” were brand new, and later opened up into Hours Between. “Small Hours” settles into a slower groove, while “Borrowed Light” stretches out around a longer instrumental passage.
These versions keep the room sound and the movement between the players. The session film captures the same performances; the audio release offers another way to spend time with them.
